# Restore or Migrate Accounting Data (Android/HarmonyOS)


Please use one of the following methods to migrate or restore your data.

# 1. Backup and Restore

After switching devices, log in to your original iCost account on the new device, then manually restore the latest data.

Steps:

  1. On the old device, go to:

App Settings -> Backup and Restore -> Manual Backup

  1. After the backup succeeds, on the new device, go to:

App Settings -> Backup and Restore -> Restore Data

Please make sure your network connection is stable when manually backing up or restoring data.

# 2. Database Export and Import

If you accidentally deleted data, or need to migrate data between different iCost accounts, you can use database recovery.

Steps:

  1. On the old device, go to:

App Settings -> Backup and Restore -> Export Database

  1. Send the file to the new device, for example via WeChat transfer or Bluetooth.

  2. On the new device, go to:

App Settings -> Backup and Restore -> Import Database

Please note that the database file uses the .backup format.

# Notes

  • The database file uses the .backup format. Do not change the file extension.
  • If the new device already has important accounting data, export a database file first as a backup before importing.
  • If your data still does not appear correctly after restoring or importing, please contact support for help.
