# Asset Account Balance Not Updating

If you find that the balance of an account has not been updated when recording bills from several days ago, check the account details to see if there are any Balance Adjustment/Account Creation records in the last few days.

If the account balance has been modified, it will be calculated based on the modification timestamp. There are two possible scenarios:

  • For bills recorded after the account balance modification, the balance will be cumulatively calculated on the modified balance.
  • For bills recorded before the account balance modification, the account balance will remain unchanged.

For example, if you modify the account balance to ¥1000 on February 22, 2022, a balance adjustment record of ¥1000 will be created. This record serves as the baseline, fixing the account balance at ¥1000 as of the 22nd.

If you record bills before February 22nd, it will not affect the current account balance. However, if you record bills after February 22nd, the calculations will be based on the existing balance of ¥1000.

# Solution

You can delete the corresponding Balance Adjustment/Account Creation bill, record the missing bills, and then readjust the account balance.
